For some Chinese brand Android phones, the steps to enable USB debugging and allow the installation of the FutureDial test app may require some additional steps.
For most devices we have found that the following steps will work for most devices.
Xiaomi:
- Enable developer mode: Settings > About Phone > Tap multiple times on MIUI version
- Go to Settings > Additional Settings > Developer Options
- Scroll down to the bottom
- Find "Turn on MIUI optimization" (If you can't find it, press 'reset to default values' very quickly until you see it.)
- Disable MIUI optimization
- Disable "Notify about high risk features"
- Go to Security app
- Press Agree
- Press on manage apps
- Press on permissions (if you can not find it, go to step 13)
- Press on the gear icon
- Enable install via USB
- Go to Developer options and enable USB debugging
OPPO
- Enable developer mode
- Go to Settings > Developer Settings
- Enable USB Debugging
- Disable USB Debugging Timeout
Huawei
- Enable developer mode: Settings > About phone > Press on build number 5 times
- Go to Settings > System & Updates > Developer Options
- Enable USB Debugging
- Go to phone app
- Type in the number ##2846579##
- Go to background settings
- Go to usb port settings
- Change mode to "Manufacture mode" (Sometimes called Google Mode)
